Frances Coneybeer Russell

Fran Russell is a former music teacher in the public schools and a private studio. She taught in public schools in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Connecticut for 30 years. Fran lives in Westbrook, Connecticut with her husband, Dave, and her dog, Buster Brown. She has three adult children and three grandchildren.

Fran was named as a Bridgeport, Connecticut Teacher of the Year and The State of Connecticut Middle School Music Teacher of the Year. She just recently retired from teaching and is now beginning to write again.

Her hobbies include her grandchildren, boating, music, reading by her firepit and writing. Fran is a former First Selectman (Mayor) of the small, coastal Connecticut town in which she has resided for over 47 years.

Her books are all based on actual family events that all families experience. She is also writing a series of children’s books about the historical beginning of the American Revolution in Boston, Massachusetts.
